Have-A-Heart CPR Fundraiser FAQ's
Is CPR fundraising easy to do?
Yes. Our Have-A-Heart Save-A-Heart fundraising program is quite simple to set-up and run. We provide you with the customized promotional materials for your fundraising program. You email and distribute your promotional materials to friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and local employers. Participants log on to your personalized fundraising information page for complete details, contact information for your group's fundraising program and to register. Your customized page would be www.Askthesafetyman.com/GroupName. Participants register online with their credit card. Participants receive a confirmation email with a link to the online training site and their log-in code.
Participants can start, stop and resume the training as their schedule permits. After successfully completing the tests at the end of each section, participants receive a training completion certificate that can be downloaded and printed. Participants will receive a course certification card in the mail within 14 days after completing their training. At the conclusion of your fundraising program, or shorter intervals for longer fundraising programs, you group contact will be mailed a check for your fundraising proceeds. It's just that simple! Are there any costs associated with Askthesafetyman's CPR fundraising?
No. Askthesafetyman.com provides the custom fundraising promotional materials for free. You are not required to purchase anything from Askthesafetyman.com to start, manage or run your fundraising program. You have no minimum sales or order quantities, no hosting or transaction fees. You promote your CPR fundraiser with the promotional literature, email package, video and information / registration page that we provide to you free of charge. Since participants complete the training online, there is no training space to schedule, rent or fundraising event to manage. You will never receive a bill or fee from Askthesafetyman.com. When a participant registers to complete the CPR fundraiser, the difference above our individual training rate is your fundraising profit. How do participants pay for the training?
Askthesafetyman's Have-A-Heart fundraising program provides participants with the ability to register and pay online with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card for immediate access to the training. All credit card processing transactions are processed through Google Checkout's secure servers to ensure the highest level of credit card security and protection. Companies that wish to take advantage of your group's CPR fundraising program can pay with a company check. We provide a link, on your registration and information page, to a group fundraiser registration form that the company completes. If the company is paying by company check, their group registrations will be activated as soon as their registration fees have been received. For individuals that do not wish to use a credit card, we also accept checks, money orders and cash. Please note, your group will coordinate the collection of all non-credit card registration fees. What happens with the participants email address, credit card and personal information?
Askthesafetyman.com's policy on the protection of personal information is quite strict. We do not sell, rent, lease, loan, etc. any of your participants personal information for outside sales or marketing purposes. Google Checkout retains all credit card information and transaction records on their secure servers. For additional information, please read the Google Checkout Terms of Service. How does online CPR training work?
Online training is about as easy as the couple you see here. Participants simply log on to any internet accessible computer, enter the online training site's web address and enter their code. The online training will walk participants through each section. Participants have tremendous flexibility to start, stop and resume their training as they wish. That's it! No need to schedule an entire day, drive to a training location or sit through an endless class in those uncomfortable plastic chairs. How many people does it take to manage a CPR fundraiser?

Is this fundraiser restricted to children's groups and clubs?

Is there a set time limit for running a CPR fundraiser?
No! The beauty of Askthesafetyman's Have-A-Heart CPR fundraising program is that you can run it for a day, week, month, year or continuously. CPR training is not seasonal, does not spoil, expire or require lead times to manufacture or produce. Some groups run short term programs to fund new sports equipment or uniforms. Other groups run longer fundraisers to raise funds for a trip. Other groups run continuous fundraising programs to help fund operating expenses, capital improvement projects or other long term goals. You can start, stop, restart, stop, start, etc., etc., as often as you like. Or set it up to help achieve your immediate fundraising goal. Does Askthesafetyman.com help us find training participants?
Yes. Anyone interested in registering for online training with Askthesafetyman.com, who is not participating as part of a fundraising program, will be offered the opportunity to join a local fundraising program. So, let's say that your neighbor Carl has come to Askthesafetyman.com to complete online CPR training. Carl is asked if he would like to participate in a local fundraising program before he registers. How long are the training certifications valid?
Askthesafetyman's training certifications are valid as follows:

Does Askthesafetyman.com provide fundraiser kick off programs?
No. While we would love to work with the kids, Askthesafetyman.com does not currently provide fundraising kick off programs. Why don't we provide kick-off programs? Since your Have-A-Heart Save-A-Heart CPR Fundrasing program can be run anywhere around the world, it would simply be impossible for us to have representatives at locations across the globe. Does Askthesafetyman.com provide any incentive programs?
No. In order to maintain our training costs at such low levels, we do not add any additional costs to your fundraising program. While this may not be typical of most fundraising programs, we feel that your group can decide what, if any, type of incentive program to offer. If you do decide to offer an incentive, we recommend a broad based participation incentive program. That means everyone takes part in the incentive program equally. That means pizza parties, ice cream sundae parties, etc. Something that all the children can participate in regardless as to the number of registrations they generated. So, your group can either save the money that would have gone into your incentive program or you can decide as a group how you would like to support participation. Customized Fundraiser Web Page
In order to ensure that your fundraising effort is as successful as we can make it, we develop a customized web page for your group's fundraiser. You will be asked to email us group logos (if available), group photos, video clips (if you like) and some written information about your group, it's mission, history, fundraising goals, etc. We do not have any Askthesafetyman.com branding on your group's fundraising web page. So, if anyone in your group is handy with computers and wants to prepare some information or graphics for your fundraising event, we'd be happy to post it on your page. The web address for your fundraising page would be http://www.Askthesafetyman.com/NielArmstrong (substituting your group name for NielArmstrong obviously).
This customized fundraising web page also contains the registration system for individual participants as well as a link to a group training form (in case you get a company that would like to take advantage of the very low cost training available through your CPR fundraising program).
